Glendale Fire Department is actively involved in Child Passenger Safety. We have certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians*. We are committed to keeping children safe and hold monthly fitting services to make your scheduling easier. During these events, our technicians educate parents and caregivers and give hands-on assistance with the proper use of child restraint systems and seat belts.
Technicians attend a thirty-two-hour course, National Child Passenger Safety Certification by Safe Kids, to obtain their initial certification and must renew it every two years, including obtaining six hours of Continuing Education and having an instructor verify their competence.
